I have a silly question, will the whitewall tires from a Lindberg kit fit the rims of the Revell Whitewall tire swap question Big Deuce kit?

That's not a silly question Dnyce. Because in fact they don't. The outer diameter of the Big Deuce rims is bigger than the inner diameter ( ID ) of of the Lindeberg tires where the rim fits into.
But don't be detered, because with careful trimming with an exacto on the ID of the tire you will have the rims fitting in no time.

Thanks! I appriciate that. I'm getting ready to build the 75th anniversay '32 Deuce. Plan on building it box stock Whitewall tire swap question rat rod style painted flat black, nothing fancy but wanted to put some whitewalls on it. Been looking at other members pics for some ideas. Thanks again for the help! Love the site.

Hey Dnyce26. Glad to see you joined up. One thing a bunch of builders were doing were usingg the wheels and tires off the Big T. If you have any access to those, they should work very well. Again, welcome to the site.

Thanks HFC. Yeah I'm considering that too. There's a Lindberg kit going fairly cheap on Ebay so that's why I was wondering. My first time building one of these so I'm looking forward to it. By the way, got my kit for $62.99 on clearance at Hobby Lobby! I think that's pretty good considering I usually see them for over $100.

Wow! Those looked great painted. What did you use to mask off the tire to keep it perfectly rounded off?

take blue fineline masking Whitewall tire swap question tape (mckay napa would be the best place to get it) and place it over the little rib slowly all the way around the tire after that take regular masking Whitewall tire swap question tape and cover the rest of the tread and back of the tire then make sure the tape has no folds it or spots where paint cant get through then you are ready to spray it will take about 4 to 7 thin coats if you want i can post some pics for help

    1. these are the materials i used blue fine line, 3m masking Whitewall tire swap question tape, and a napkin
2.wrap the blue fine line on top of the little rib along the tire
3.wrap the green masking Whitewall tire swap question tape around the tire tread then lay it over to cover half of the blue fine line
4.next take another piece of green masking Whitewall tire swap question tape and wrap it around the lower section to prevent any over spray from reaching the other sidewall now stuff some napkin pieces on the inside of the tire for extra assurance that there will be no over spray that can reach othe other side wall
5.spray about 4-7 THIN coats of krylon flat white
6.let it dry for an hour or so and at last you have a white wall tire

now if you ant a kinda old look you can dust a little krylon flat ivory and it can get that old used look

That's a winner of a tutorial, amg. When it's completed, this tutorial should also go right into the beginners' forum. It definitely beats painting the walls by hand.

Very cool tutorial indeed! Thanks much for that, I'm gonna have to give that a try. Off to get the tape tomorrow.
