Sounds like Alcladon a much bigger scale. It may work for large scale.

It sounds pretty similar except instead of spraying the chrome finish over the black, it sounds like you sprinkle some powder. I had a friend using Alcad a few years ago on some smaller parts so it's not like he was using a lot and when he took the filters out of his mask, he was surprised to see they were chrome also! I still haven't watched the video's got late last night when I found this, but some of the pictures at the bottom of the page looked really good.
