Okay, now I must admit my ignorance. I am building my first 1:8 scale model, the "Big T". I am using TDR Going nuts over bolts! 's IRS, IFS (modified) and the 350. As I have never built anything larger then 1:24 prior to this I have never worried about bolts. My question is this, what size bolts would I use to represent 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8? I guess they do not need to be spot on accurate but I do want them to look appropriate.

Thanks a ton for any help!

David - 00-80, 00-90 Going nuts over bolts! and 00-120 bolts are usually the best fits (in scale) for nuts and bolts.

I now realize I should have been more specific.

    Just a little more help:
1/2" scales close to 0-80 Going nuts over bolts!
3/8 and 7/16" scales close to 00-90 Going nuts over bolts!
    1/4" scales close to 00-120
ans then you can drop into the 1mm and smaller sizes in metric available on the web.

Thanks Andy and Syd. That is what I thought, just didn't want to go spend 100 bucks or better on nuts and bolts and then find out I was wrong.

PS. The rank is not correct, I hit the wrong icon and can't figure out why this site will not allow me to fix it. GSGT is correct.

David, and other vets TogetherWeServed - Connecting US Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen is a website for veterans to join. An excellent site and I have caught up with fellow Marines that I served with back in the day.

Sorry David, there is a Sargent that has your same name and I just assumed it was you. Check the site out and I know you will really enjoy it.
