Congratulations, beautiful baby girl. Being a grandpa is the best thing ever. Prepare to spoil her. I've got four grand kids (2 girls and 2 boys) and the youngest granddaughter turned 4 yesterday on the 18th, as well. I hope you live close.

Congratulations Ken! Mother and daughter look well there. Best wishes to all of you for a wonderful time ahead.

My daughter is due to bless me with a grand daughter sometime in July.

Then when people shout at me "You drive like a grandad!" I can say "that's because I am!"

    Cheers mate,
    Dave.

Congrats Ken. Feels good doesn't it?

We just got our first TWO grandkids on Jan 6th of this year. Yeah...twins. A friend of mine has five grandkids and he says..."Wow...in one shot you got almost half as many as I do already." LOL

Ken - my father used to say "grandchildren are your reward for not killing your children".

She's a beautiful little girl congratulations my friend.

    Andy.

    P.S. What scale is she?
When I was young I used to say "[I]When I grow up I'm going to be somebody!"

I now realize I should have been more specific.

Here is what I come up with. If we round her off to 7 lbs (works better going down instead of up...trust me.) and we figure out an average adult weight of 175 lb (this might be a little high...but it works for my figures), she would be 1/25th scale. If we take the 7 lbs and times it by 25, we get 175.

Again...using my 175 lb weight standard. Once she hits approximately 21.8 lbs, she will be 1/8th scale.

    About perfect then.

Of course...since I am considerably more than 175 (we can figure 220 which is close enough), she would be smaller scale than my figures (approximately 1/32) and would need to weigh just over 27 lbs to be 1/8 scale.

    Mike

PS...I'm working on homework...a paper on "Why should organizations incorporate security into their governance efforts?" I was bored when I figured all of this.

Congrats Ken. Now you have another modeller to train.

Thanks to all for your kind words. Here is a picture of her 4 days old at home. She is a cutie. Model training starts in a couple of years once she can speak.

Andy she has already started to gain weight but great concept for scale.

We had to get whooping cough shots to visit with her since they have a local outbreak in San Luis Obispo County. Doctor's suggestion for guests no shot, no visit for us or any one else; two babies have died this past year out there because of it.
