Thank you boys for the compliments, those make my efforts worthwhile...
I think I succeded in installing the steering box in a "Buggatiana" way, wanted to share it with you.
There's also the modified exhaust header, the Pitman arm and some closeups of the pedals for the use of Mr. HFC.
By the way HFC, thanks a lot, but I'm not professor of anything, whatever I can do, YOU can also.
Don, thanks for realizing the chamfers, they do add something to the whole, and yes, this is insane!!!
    I like the underside views...

    Mario

P.S. I'll try to make some videos, very good idea HFC!

Do I dare open my eyes now? THUMP * BIFF, CLUNK, OW. Yep that's what I was afraid of. I knew as soon as I opened my eyes, I'd fall off the hobby chair. That looks incredible. You have to do a double take to make sure it's not in 1:1 scale. The only thing that really gives it away is the missing heads on the block and that's to be expected. Mario, I'm hanging on really tight now. I can't wait to see what you do with the rear end and the suspension.

    Mario,
As a fellow metal worker, I am in complete awe of your talents. My build is not near that clean. I have some questions:

What are you using for tools? Milling machine and lathe? Rotary table with the mill? Do you use propane or butane for your torch fuel? Or something else entirely?

I think it was mentioned about posting videos, anyway I would love to see some videos of your work.

    Mike
    My website:

Click on the lathe and that will take you into the metal modeling area.

    Hey there Mike!
    Thanks for the compliments!
I'm using a Emco Unimat 3 as a lathe with it's original milling & drilling head. I made a rotary table for it, using some original Unimat parts, as per an article appeared in the Model Engineer magazine many years ago. Great accessory!
For very small parts, I'm using a Boley watchmakers lathe I inherited from my father many, many years ago.
This one is a delight to use.
For soldering I'm using the Weller soldering gun and use very thin electronic solder with flux core.
For heavier solderings, I use a very cheap & small butane torch.
If you are really behind tools as I am, I can post pics of them & the accessories I've been making all these years...

    Best regards

    Mario

    Mario,
Sure! Post some pics...I would like to see what you have. My current inventory consists of the 7x12 import lathe and the import mini-mill. I am still working on tweaking them to get more of the slop out of them. I switch between a small butane and a small propane torch, but I usually use the propane torch.

I've been looking at watchmaker lathes too....been thinking about buying one because it looks just the thing for small parts. But with that, I am also looking for an 11 or 12 inch lathe for some of the larger parts that I need to make for the truck that I eventually want to build.

    Mike:
I'll begin posting pics of tools & accessories, but in The Hobby Room section, where they belong...

    Thanks
