    Hi there everyone,
I have spent the last couple of weeks trolling through earlier threads and came across various references to resin 1/6 scale cars and trucks, help wanted cast model B's, T's ETC, mostly in 1/8 scale but comparison shots have been shown in which the model is posed next to a 1/6 model. I have also seen mention of SMC as a producer of resincast car bodies, is there anything available in 1/6 scale? I am going to build a 1/6 scale outdoor railway and want to incorporate vehicles. Any help on this would be very gratefully appreciated, a model A would be fantastic as I could also make a model AA truck with the same cab.
All the best from a Brit in Bulgaria,
    Richard.

Model AA Truck is very handsome truck and a favorite of mine.
Do not be afraid of using 260 brass sheet, a MiniFlam torch and silver solder to build your model.
You may consider building a Ford TT truck because it has mostly flat panels and would be easy to use the brass.
I use this torch, the one with the mini tanks and pencil-sized torch tip.
These MiniFlams are a dental lab's secret weapon for perfect soldering.
I bought it used on EBay for $21.00.
It is manufactured in France so you can buy it cheaper near you.
    Best Regards,
    Giovanni

    Hi Giovanni,
thanks for the info, I already have gas, but have to say the Tri-Oxy set up is superior. I am having problems here in that there are no real hobby shops yet,I have a reasonably good load of tools and equipment, mostly still packed up sadly, building a new house and big workshop this summer. I will try and get a few car kits in 1/24 as it is a piece of cake to scale them up, multiply dimensions by 4.
    anyway, thanks for the info,
    Richard.
