    Strip the insulation off of small diameter electric wire. I use phone hook up wire for 1/9 and 1/12 motorcycle cables, with other sizes from scraps of wire scrounged here and there to distinguish between a skinny throttle cable and a fat clutch cable. The stripped insulation looks about right, is flexible, and is cheap. If you look around, there is even clear for fuel hose.

    Thanks for the list and thanks for the suggestion, Nortley. The tube has to go over the cast pipes and the spigots left on the banjoes. We have found a silicon tube which does that. It just needs to be painted black for the oil lines.
    Unfortunately the model may be delayed because the larger parts were entrusted to Griffin moulds in Birmingham who totally destroyed the engine masters, meaning I must make a whole new engine pattern in brass.
