Try Bear Air all kinds of stuff plus lots of info
I use a full size automotive compressor that is out in the screen room so I don't have to listen to it. I ran a hard line to a tank with filter, water trap and a pressure regulator in the hobby room.
There are 2 manifold ports on the bench and one on my drafting table.
Never have to worry about pressure drops or noise and I have plenty of air on tap for full size air tool use outside.

Hi, To second what Don says, when my utility trenches were open, I had pipe laid from the garage to the house. One end connects to the shop air, the other comes indoors to a filter/regulator at my airbrushstation. All the noise and vibration is many feet away, and one full tank of air will get any day's work done. There is no pulse at all to the air flow. If you already have air in the garage, this could be the way to go.
Scorpio - Builds models the way the prototype should have been built.
Unfortunately, as I live in an apartment, digging trenches and moving the compressor away from the shop is not going to be a viable option for me. My paint station (along with my metal shop, model shop and finish shop) are all in the garage so at least the noise will be isolated and away from my neighbors.
Now there is always the possibility that my neighbors will piss me off in which case I'll just move the compressor right up to the common wall and vent the fumes right into their HVAC system.![]()

I now realize I should have been more specific.
