    Hi modelbuilders.
Is there any builders i EU that also having problems with finding K&S Thinwall brass tubings thinwall brasstubings.
In Denmark it's impossible to find, lots of hobbyshops, but nothing in tinwall.
    J. Perkins in UK is the nearest importer, but no sale to privates.
That's p..... me off, that my detailing of the steeringcolumn to a Pocher RR grind to a hold in need of thinwalls, the steeringcolumn need 5 tubings inside each other, outer tubing is 4-4,5mm.
In the picture you can see the problem, 1 outer chrom tube inside,1 steeringshaft, 1 tube to hold center hub in place, 3 to operate ajustment.
Is there someone who knows others supplyers of thinwall brasstubing in EU.
Found one in UK Galaxymodels, but very expencive.

Make sure you add plenty of lubricant. The fit of the tubes is a bit tight, and over time they could jam. (I have used these tubes for the mast of my model boat. The mast SHOULD come out of its base tube fine, but it is jammed like nothing else. So I cannot remove the mast anymore. Need a large car for transport now...)

    Hi Egon,

I have another "problem". I found fine hollow tubing I intend to use to simulate exhaust pipes... but how do you cut it properly? A metalsaw is way to rough and the tube cutter I have is too big... How do you cut these tubes? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Auto parts stores have small plastic bodied tubing cutters that will go down fairly small, I have a Lisle that has worked for years. Another method is to roll the tube under a sharp straight blade on a cutting board or cardboard mat. It can be a little fiddly, but get a good first groove going, and then keep up some down pressure while rolling back and forth and, ahem, staying in the groove. This works just like the aforementioned tubing cutter. If you're cutting rings or short pieces, a bit of copper wire threaded through the tube will keep the newly liberated part from flying. You'll need to ream the burr if another piece is to telescope into the cut one. If you anticipate a lot of metal work, there are mini chop saws that offer a number of advantages, not including price or the need to de-burr the cuts.

I use an old dentist mashine with cutting wheels, burs and grinders, Foredom.com have similar mashines.
Galaxymodels in UK have the thinwall and can get all the K&S Thinwall brass tubings tubes 1,5 - 4,5mm x2 = 14 tubes comes to £ 27.00, nice price ehh !!!!!!
This RR build is going to bee expencive, but very detailed.

    Hi Guys.
I know the Knupfershop and they don't have the ones I wanted 1,5 - 4,5mm, they have tiny micro tubes up to 1,0mm, but all is ok I ordered them from Galaxymodels UK despit the high price they want.
