First pass at an interior surround..............foot-box will shift the pedals to the left a bit.......and exhaust routing will be interesting............low roofline makes for a low floor..........

While the XK-E hood bulge would solve the issue, leaving the intake area open as you have shown, adds a bit of " hotrod", custom car, show car look to it. Detroit would probably cover that beautiful intake with some crappy looking cover, and then try and sell it, not realizing it would have sold better if it had been left open. It really gives the car a bit of MACHO look. I say keep the open intake area.
CHEERZZZZ !!!!!!!! MF
NEVER argue with an IDIOT, for he'll only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience !!!!
I agree with MF. Leaving it open really gives it some teeth. At worst, you can put some kind of screen over the area to keep out bugs and pebbles but that intake looks great as is. The hood bulge would blend right into the point in the front.

Tony.....I'm likin' the bubble, perhaps tinted to match the body color and open at the back to take advantage of the air that piles up where the the windshield comes up from the body while adding that old muscle car image. It's a slippery design for sure. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......maybe a future project for TDR?

That's it!! The clear bubble looks like the way to go and it doesn't look cheesy. I also like Don's suggestion of an opening at the back of the bubble. If it's done right, you could make it virtually invisible. As far as a TDRproject goes, I like that too.

Time for exhaust headers..........not a lot of room here, and so I will run the exhaust pipes through the door sills...............now, the early Dodge Vipers did this and had big heat problems, but I will assume I have located some high-tech, space shuttle heat insulation to put in there..........
