    It's interesting how these things come around again..........I get started and for some reason it stalls...........in this case, there was a major dimensional error in the block, and I went on to other stuff.............but lately, I sorted it out, and here is where I am today............this is configured for the dual Carters...........getting close now..........

    I am real good at screwing this stuff up, but I think it's ok..........but I could have gotten it wrong............lets open it up to a vote...........help me get to the truth.......

    The attached images, the best I can tell, reflect the original parts.........

    There is this wisdom that comes with age, but right along with that, is this, well, this slipage...........so much to look forward to...............

    It's me that's having the slippage Tony, you have them right...guess I'm just used to seeing the secondary openings at the rear rather than the side.

    Looks great! The 409 valve covers have always been favorites of mine. I bought a '62 Impala kit to steal the engine from to put in my 5-window Deuce. :)

    Yeah, I'm about to do the same with my Revell 409 Chevrolet............... 5W Deuce kit.. The motor is the AMT 409 Chevrolet............... '62 Bel Air 409 with a kitbashed 6.71 blower setup... Hope I can make it look like this:

    Just a guess.......To minimize the Carb floats moving around during a hard launch at your local dragstrip?
