I have built this car in a smaller scale and thought for my first big build it would be a good place to start. I build totally from sheet plastic I get in 4'x8' sheets. I don't have a machine shop and use only files an exacto knife and pair of needle nose pliers.
I started with the master for the tires. They have been done by eye for the indexing so it is not perfect like the ones done on an indexing machine.. I have also started the chassis and a chassis rack I made for this project,

comments are appreciated so that I can make it better with what I have to work with.
      Thanks for viewing.

Nice work Kenn. The diorama sounds good too. I never thought about a black & white one, that would be very unusual and quite unique and would suit the fish tank. Like an old photo in 3D. Just a thought, you could test the B & W dio idea with some small cheap toy cars or even some cardboard cut-outs.

super charger just needs to be cleaned up a bit and chromed......the steering glides past the engine block nicely and one of the seats is completed,,,the other just needs to be assembled and it is ready also.

rear brakes put together...they need to be set for the proper track yet...out words about 5/16 inch on each side.

Nothing is glued in place at this point since I need to paint all the parts before final assembly.

WOW! What a lesson in simple clean work! Between your posts and those of JONZ, quite the primer 1933 MG K3 1/14th scratch built on foundational model making! -I think it was in a thread by TOMC; "the less we understand the problem the more complicated we make the solution." I think I'll carve that on my workbench!

    Very nice work! -Don
