      I've just started to build the Pocher K85 Mercedes and would like to find some engine photos. What I'm particularly looking for is the correct engine/trans colours.

      Thanks in advance for any photo's any of you may have access too.

    Hi Rick,

    will post some more pics of M 24 I (MB 500K) and M24II (MB 540K) engines. The engine blocks were enameled black on prototypes. Most of the cars presented in our times got a kind restoration overkill i.e. they' re showing off polished and machine buffed parts, that you coudn't find on them, leaving the assembly line. Added a contemporary black and white shot of the sindelfingen factory.
