        Some of you may know the work of Portuguese large-scale Mercedes builder Alberto de Oliveira, who passed away last year at 85, and he was building until the end. For those who don't, I thought you'd like to see some of his work. Everything was scratch-built using wooden bucks and metal, some of it simply upsized from existing kits, and he had a friend with Mercedes who supplied him with vast amounts of reference. He also was a collector of zillions of Mercedes diecasts. The web pages are in Portuguese, but you can see his accomplishments in the images.

      Wow! I don't really know any modellers, apart from Gerald Wingrove and the guys on the forum, but I always love to see more scratchbuilts, I love it!

      This is real first rate stuff. I've heard the name but never saw the work. I'm thoroughly impressed. I wish I had a bucket full of cash to buy some.

      I'm sorry, but I have no idea what this Lamborghini thing has to do with Alberto de Oliveira, who is dead.

      I wonder if there's something going on with the forum. It took me a couple of tries to post the correct image in my original post, which defaulted to a concept Jaguar that I never posted instead of the new image that you see in post #1.

      As far as I know, Alberto never had anything to do with a Lamborghini model.
