Well here we go, to many wants, not enough time/money. But today I again got a super deal on a Pocher. For many years I would only buy a kit, but with the prices as much as a used car for one of the high end kits, I now look for re-buildable assembled cars. And as favor would have, I believe today I got a complete car at a price that makes me one happy boy. I received another kit this past Monday (FIAT), then yesterday I made a offer for this one and the guy accepted this evening. Did not take long to log onto Pay-pal and pay for this gal. I will go thru the car, tear down and rebuild, this I believe would make the 5th 8C Alfa I have had. This version offers a unlimited world of mods and or versions. Will clean up and will work on down the road, got a Cord 1st on build list.

My father once built this Alfa. Then it stood in the closet for years, and finally he gave it away. (when I was 12 or so)

Years later, with Internet getting popular, I did a search on "Pocher Alfa". That is when I saw the Pocher Bugatti. The rest is history...

Looks like you have a lot to work with there. It's not a basket case at all. It should clean up really well.

Went online today and purchased a few items for this re-do. From the photos as posted looks to be 100%. I will also pick a few items up from Model Motorcars 8C 2300 Alfa . I have had enough time with this little jewel to know what needs attention and what to leave alone. I am not going for a full blown, detailed w/every additional part out there, just enough to get away from box stock 8C 2300 Alfa and not overwhelm with details. Have found that way too many builds do not get to completion because of detail burnout.

    hello,

The number sheets and the pointers look very good.
do the raised rings also participate around the instruments? are not to be seen in the picture.

I believe you use the instrument housings/rings that come in the kit. Both of these PE kits came from your neck of the woods, FRG. There is also a complete stainless steel PE floorboard from the same mfg. I have not decided if I want to do this as most photos show some type matting in the floor. Thanks for you interest. Rick

There is an "ask seller a question" link with each eBay item. However you must be logged in to do so.

    Buildlarge,

Do me (and everyone else here) a favor and let us know how the parts you ordered work out.

I keep thinking of ordering a few things from them myself.

    Thanks

I sure will. You know I was afraid to order outside of the US for along time. But with my other hobby of papermodels, I order from EU often. Here is the funny thing, I have never had a item not make it too me, no problems w/customs and I have placed orders @ same time for a company w/in the US and say Austria, had the item from EU before the US item was delivered. This has happened numerous times, the best was a order from Japan and one from CA, I live in NC, guess which one I got first, as a matter of fact 3 days before the one from CA got here. You gotta love it!!!! I deal alot with EU dealers and they have always done me right, heck if there was a problem, another was on the way as soon as they were aware of. Some of the stateside dealers could take note of customer releations. There is one fella in Italy who has items that will blow your socks off and you must order from him alone because he does not trust anyone to market his products other than himself. If you are into Big Sports Cars, this guy is a must. Go to www. Leggenda and Passione.com. Be ready to be thrilled. Prices are not cheap, but if you ever do order anything you will understand why!

Another post to pout alittle. I want the 8C 2300 like yesterday, had to play cat and mouse with the fella who was selling on Ebay. Got him to take bait and set hook. Paid thru Pay-pal, E-Check! Now my card is also a VISA, but will not use the credit side, only the check account? Paid for the car on the 18th. Was to clear today, but was informed would not clear until the 26th, bummer. It seems again the system let me down. Most times payment clears w/in 4 days, this time 8 days, then the wait for fella to ship, ship time and then I will have to go to local post office, insured at my request and pick-up. I guess I should have after the 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I'm suprised that your paypal payment is taking so long. I've paid for several things (some models some other things) using paypal and had the purchase in my hands within four days. The echeck should be instant as long as you have the funds to pay. Usually it depends on the seller and how fast they ship. I know how hard it is to wait for new toys. Good luck!

Well as my ole age has taught me, trust not in man's inventions. Nothing is w/o failure. I have over 300 transactions w/Pay-Pal and as you have pointed out, 4 days you have a completed e-check payment as in all the times before. What chaped my hymie was when I contacted to inquire what the problem was I got the programed response that all was in order when in fact by 300 transactions that says otherwise, not done according to protocol. Kind of puts me in mind of what I see when I do set down to get my feeding of bul from the press. But I guess at least the payment is in process and I will get when I get. This is not the 1st hiccup w/Pay-pal, wait till you have a problem and the item does not get there, now you will have some fun!!!!!! The only reason I use Pay-pal is because most sellers on Ebay require? Otherwise I am more than glad to post a payment over-nite and have the item shipped the next day, 2 days and a done deal!!!!!

Well I guess the phone call did some good, payment cleared. Now I will wait for USPS to do her part. Should have by 1st of week. Already went thru Modelmotor Cars site and listed additional parts f/re-build, now if I could only win the lottery to pay for them.
