      Hello
I just bought a Alfa and would like to replace the cheesy looking moulded on bolts on the frame rails. What size ? Bolts or threaded rod with nuts ? I built and sold a couple of these years ago when the new kits were $150.00 , now there are lots of parts available and with some scratchbuilding I want one for myself.
      Thank's Ted

I'm going to start working on hardware kits for you guys. All in one kits to keep it simple. Do you want only the frame hardware or the motor also?

Off the top of my head most would be 00-90 Pocher Alfa or 00-120. If you want to count them up you can order them off the sites store.

If your painting or polishing go with the silver hardware. Its not functional but looks great. If you need the them to actually bolt up then the brass.

Should be knocking out my own nickle plated Pocher Alfa brass hardware in the next month or so.

I just did the same! I bought a poorly built Alfa Monza and I'm rebuilding it the best I can. I already took the engine out and dismantled the body which I've already sanded smooth (I'll replace the rivets with needle heads) and primered. When it's dry and hard I'll sand Pocher Alfa it again, then another layer of primer Pocher Alfa etc etc..

Now I'm working on the engine... Too bad a lot of parts don't fit very well. The supercharger should be a few mm's closer to the block and that's what I'm trying to achieve by sanding Pocher Alfa the back of this part till it sits flush with the engine. I also found out that's it's easier to bend new brass rods instead of trying to obtain 90° bends with rubber hoses! I don't always follow the Pocher guidelines.. See the coil, it points towards the distributor, it's a detail, but it's more logical than facing the other way as mentionned in the manual!

Here's a pic of how far I progressed until now! Needs more adjusting here and there but it starts to look descent. I also decided to add some details like the rev counter cable on the rear of the valve cover, the oil feeder tube for the gearbox, the brass "gasket" on the supercharger, the selfmade water tube at the bottom of the waterpump etc.

Paolo, send me an email with the contact link above and we'll work out a kit for you. Ive also got a nice selection of cast metal parts for the Alfa motor. Check Mario's Alfa build for more info on the that. Daniel

The "bolts and screws-kit" is more than welcome! I'm rebuilding a Monza with the aid of Koo's dvd, but I had to find a different solution to fix the firewall because I didn't had the right metalware!

I tried to order them on the site here, but I think there must be a bug somewhere as I never managed to order these properly (return to shop seems to fail).
