I am thinking about possibly building the Millie Miglia next. Does anyone know what the difference is between the Miglia and the Alfa racer(besides the price tag)?

Not much really. The extra light the red headlight covers, and its a roadster body rather then the boat tail. Not worth the price tag if you ask me. Making one from a regular roadster isnt a big deal and costs about 1/2

Start with the Alfa Spider. An extra headlight should be easy enough to dig up on ebay or you can even cast one from the kit part. The red covers I can help with but I need to find a supplier of red lexan sheet. If anyone know's where I can get that I would appreciate the link.

The headlight mount can be made from brass.

The decals are no big deal. Ive got those in the store. If you want the smaller Ferrari decal Questions about the Alfa Mille Miglia I can make a set.

Spare tire is mounted to the chassis with the Miglia so you'll need to look into the manuals to make that mount. Basic scratch building.

As for the rest the original is far different from the Pocher kit. Different shape to fenders and Pocher left out allot of details. Leggenda e Passione makes a transkit to convert but its not cheap. I think its around $800.

At 800 plus 400 or so for the spider, am I probably better off just getting a Mille Miglia?

Heck no... If your going to drop that much then do the Spider and transkit. Its far better. No thats an understatement. Its 100% better. The transkit from L&P fixes most of the stuff Pocher overlooked in both kits. Trust me if your going to invest don't bother with the Miglia unless your just going to hold onto it as an investment.

Heres the manual of the transkit from L&P, you'll see exactly what I'm saying once you get a look at it. http://www.leggendaepassione.it/Kits...20complete.pdf

Thanks. You were going to get back to me about you possibly having some upgraded items for the Mercedes? Do you have any for the MB500?

I do but my casting Questions about the Alfa Mille Miglia machine is down undil early next week so I really cant get anything out before then. If you dont mind holding off a little Ill make you a good deal.

Now for the Ppider. Yes and No. I have one but its in a box with 8 others and trying to sort out the parts would take a week. Best to try and grab one off Questions about the Alfa Mille Miglia eBay.

Right now is a great time to pick up Pocher kits. The Spider shouldnt be more then $400 in the box unstarted.

The transkit from L&P makes a completely different car than the Pocher K81, it is based on a Monza racer. They are both correct Mille Miglia cars, as both the Spider body style and the Monza were raced by Scuderia Ferrari in various confugurations.
