This is exceptional work. Take a good long look at all the pictures and study them very carefully, guys. This is probably one of the best tutorials we've ever had on the site. It shows everything you need to know to scratchbuild an engine and demystifies all of those procedures that most of us think is impossible. Yes, you have to have some modeling skills to do this but we all have those skills. Yes, you have to have a lot of patience to do this. This doesn't happen in 1 hour and you'll have to make some things over from time to time. No, you don't need any special equipment and you don't have to be a genius to do all of this. Don't be afraid to try some of these things and don't be afraid to experiment. This is all well within our grasp. You just needed to know how to do this.

Any chance of adding http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21715 to the Tutorials section? Do we need to ask the person's permission?

Leaving it in this thread will doom it soon as the thread slips into history.

Its best to ask the author first. He might want to keep it on the other site only but Ive found most of these guys are more then happy to share.

Those are some incredible tutorials and sure takes some of the black art away from scratch building an engine. His tutorial on building the car was pretty impressive as well, are there any of those clear plastic bodies available in 1/8? I am going to save the pictures in the a Word document just in case the site would ever disappear in the future.

If you wouldn't mind asking him posting his pictures here, that would be great!

Hey Thorsten, if you're on good terms with Mike, ask if he wouldn't mind sharing his pics. I'll save the pics myself on my own puter but it would be great to have the techniques in the tutorial section where everyone can have a chance to learn.
