Mario - it looks like you might have made those from sheet styrene . If you did then the curves and centering of the individual pieces is something else. Gives us machine challenged modelers something to shoot for.

Be nice to see how you established the mating of the curved leg surfaces. Heated styrene in a jig?

Looks like one of Mario's classic engine stands. I like the idea of the scale fingerprints and the shop rags.

Styrene sheet 0.8 mm thick it is....
The mating of the curve was made lightly heating the styrene strip, mini alligator clips and a shot of thin CA, which goes to every single joint by capillary action....

Guess what this is???.....

The specialists say it's the same used at the Alfa factory for exposing and working of their engines....who knows?...they look OK allready....

They will be painted Alfa red....BTW, it took me many attempts mixing acrylic laquers to achieve an acceptable red...colour mixing is infinite, believe my word.......

Hello Mario, I am a Pocher builder and I must admit your work is way beyond anything I have ever done, and I have built many of the Pocher kits as far back as the early 70's. I am very impressed with the artistic way you approach your subject. I am @ this time re-building a 8C 2300 and I have read all your postings and hope you do not mind if I use some of your ideas. What I was wondering, would it be possible for you to post a diagram. of the engine stands. There is a set available made of metal, but the cost is a bit steep. I have never thought of just making my own. I have a separate display engine I want to set beside this beauty when finished. Thank you for your time. I can think of no better way to compliment another modeler than emulating his work in yours. Cheers, Rick
