        Haven't had much time lately to work on stuff lately, but here's what I'm up to......
        I needed an engine for my show and shine car and that's how this all got started.
        I didn't want to use a kit engine and the Offy is a ways out so I decided to scrounge the parts box and see what I could come up with.
        Chebbies, Hemis, Pontiacs, Flatheads........nah!
        Wanted to have some fun and just build for builds sake.
        I found an old used Jag block and a 6 cylinder Pocher head (RR) I think.
        I do believe I'll see if I can turn them into a 4 holer, cross flow head turbo plumbers nightmare for the Elixir.

      Figured out where I wanted to cut the head to avoid cast in stuff and keep everything evenly spaced.

      I cut the D.O.C. head off the Jag block, cut a section out of the pan (again being careful of bolt holes etc.) and whacked off the front of the block, got rid of those goofy mounting pins too. I'll make my own timing chain cover etc. for the front of the block.

      Thought I posted these earlier, but I may have missed a key so here they are again.
      Scotch tape mock-up of the 4 banger in the rough.
      I'm going to take about another 1/8th inch off the height of the block and make the pan a little shallower....that should get the profile down some.

      Got the oil pan cut down and figured it was time for a mock up to see how things are going to fit together.
      For you amusement here's "Grandpa McGurk's Magic Elixir" in the rough.
      The last picture is Carl Casper's Pop Corn Wagon...that's the direction I'm headed in......plain ol' just for fun build.
