I have begun building this ebay-find: a Pocher Alfa Romeo Monza. This is my first attempt at a Pocher kit, and can't believe I am having this much fun building a car which has parts and assemblies that don't fit! Oh well... I am not shy about cutting, adding and subtracting parts to build something unique.

The engine block remains the stock plastic one, but the small assemblies have been replaced with cast metal parts and some fabricated parts.

Is Vittorio's wiring pass-thru based on reference from an actual vehicle? I like the idea of adding this detail to my Alfa pair.

Does your steering gear support (red/silver object adjacent to frame rail) mount to the frame or is it cantilevered off the rear engine mount casting Article: Re: Pocher Alfa Romeo Monza-Build Diary ? This looks like a cool addition to the engine bay.
    Cheers,

    Hi Gordon!
Now that I have researched a bit, it doesn't appear that the pass-through holes in the engine casting Article: Re: Pocher Alfa Romeo Monza-Build Diary are for wiring. The driver's side is used for mechanical linkages, the left...not sure. Can anyone help on this?

The steering gear case is not mounted to the engine as in the prototypes...yet. The Pocher engine halves are not accurate in this aspect.

    Best regards,
    Doug

I am also in process of building this kit and looking for Alfa color references. More specifically the dark red Monza.
