Hello, I finally received my kit late yesterday. Pretty nice!

    Here are some pictures.

Of course it's a new kit. Moldings are all very crisp, at first glance it all looks very nice.

Instructions are nothing exceptional, and not a disappointment either. I suppose that it is assumed that an experienced modeler will be able to assemble this kit without too much trouble. However, I haven't built it yet, so we'll have to see.

Painting instructions are best ignored and are where we separate the men from the boys.

Photo-etch is included as are some lengths of wires and a faux leather.

The decals look pretty neat! Notice the "Perlage" / Engine turning! They have even included the Copper rivets, though they are very small and easily missed.

Both a tree 1/12TH Scale Type 35 Bugatti of Chrome, and Aluminum (Aluminium), Chrome looks a bit garish and out of place. And the front axle is not beautiful. (But no one makes an axle like Bugatti. -not yet anyway)

I almost forgot the tires, (tyres).

    1/12TH Scale Type 35 Bugatti-img_5444-2-jpg

Very nice, though no manufacturer's logo? Too expensive? This does give an opportunity for a modeler to make patterns for any of the many tires shod upon the these racers.

My first impression is very nice! Perhaps the MFH is the more exhaustivly detailed, but for 5 times the price!

By the way, MFH has released a 1/12th scale 16 cylinder AUTO UNION! also at $$$$!!!!

Have a look at Nick Edwards website UNOBTAINIUM and see what he is doing for the 1/12th scale Bentley and Alfa kits.
He is currently doing 3D printed prototypes of the Type 35B engine and the panel wire fasteners. They are not on his own website just yet, but go onto the Britmodeller Forum where he has photos and renders of the Bugatti stuff he is currently working on. Mind blowing!

Nick Edwards has done some more developments since my last post.
Apparently there are a number of things that are incorrect or simplified in the kit that Nick will be soon marketing as rectified 3D printed replacement parts.

No manufacturers name on the tyres? All due to corporate bean counters wanting prohibitive sums of money to use their name that are probably unaffordable for kit manufacturers to use. Sign of the money grasping times I guess!

Hello Noel, are you going to build one of these? -they're not bad kits.

Some simplifications, but a basically good model kit. Plenty of foundation to build upon. Racers, especially of this era have so many details to create or suggest with paint. Personally, I prefer an as raced look, not a primped museum queen.
