I've been asked to post some more detail of this kit so here goes:

generally fit is good, but detail is lacking in some areas and moulding is rough in some areas - heavy spue attachment points in visible areas, sink and ejector marks feature widely in visible areas that are hard to remedy.

Here is a general view of current progress:-

Here are some views of the engine:-

The radiator does have the 80° rake
I have added a fair bit of detail to the base kit,
All 'bolts' (actually indistinct plastic blobs) removed and replaced with resin New Italeri Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza items
PE grill added on air intake
Laser litho bango coupling and braided hose added
All filler caps turned from ali
core plugs and raised surrounds scratch built New Italeri Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza
'springs' blow-off valves? added above supercharger
      braided ignition lines added
hose clips added from silver wire
      distributor clips added
copper wire added to inlet manifold

There was a question about fuel tank detail?

      Easily answered! there isn't any

Also engine mount detail is lacking too:-

Here's a shot of the other side of the engine:

I feel like I've given this kit a hard time, I'm enjoying building it and it bears a passing resemblance to the subject matter.
I'm by means an expert on this vehicle either, so happy with something that looks OK.

I have threatened to turn some wire wheels for it as the kit items aren't great and I have done this before for a large scale fokker triplane, but for know I'll stick with the kit items.

I'm sure someone will produce a transkit for this soon because as a blank canvas, to my eye (with no rulers or rivet counting) it looks OK.

Thanks for your support and hope some of this is of interest.

Please forgive my sloppy out-of-practice modelling skills, first build for about three years!

      Regards,

      Nick
