      Back story:

After being on the pre order list for over a year, and then receiving 4 cars that were literal junk, and then being skunked for any further replacements, I decided (after staring at the two cars about to be sent back) that maybe I could do a restoration on one and combine both cars to make a nice one.

      Well, it almost worked...

After all night combining two cars in attempt to make one nice one.... heres where I am at.

I changed out the seat that was broke....

Repaired the electrics, everything works now

Changed out the suspension screws and springs that were broken

      Replaced the gear shift lever

      Cleaned up the glue spot

Added some scotch tape (2 layers each hubcap) to the edges of the hubcaps to tighten them up so the didnt keep falling off, then trimmed it flush with the back of the hubcaps

      Replaced brake lines underneath

I think the gas cap filler cover is going to be okay after epoxy An attempt at fixing a Danbury mint 1:12th 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air sets up fully

What I came up with after all this was said and done is a convertible top thats not laying down correctly

      Suggestions?

I cant think of any other guys who have done so many things from scratch and look gorgeous than posting a HELP!!! here I would even consider sending the car to someone who was more professional than myself.

the car was a 4.0 and now everything but the gas filler cover is working fine and not really any problems so in my opinion if not for the screwed up top, it would be a 9.0 if not 9.5

If it helps heres my number if you have any questions

Peter at diecast ramblins did walk me through getting this top fixed. It seems he had a car or two of his own that he repaired with a bad top and knew right where to go and over the phone it is fixed.

    Thanks

Man, that top was a mess but it looks great now. This is definitely going to help me finish my 57.
