I'm waiting to a clear sheet for completed the Bugatti...
It's time for a new challenge!
It will be of course another french car, the "Avions Voisin Record 1927".

Unfortunately, the real car has been destroyed. My basis will be a re-builded one,
with many genuine parts except the engine, the 8 cylinders has been replaced by a six cylinders.
      Take a look at:
      http://www.automobiles-voisin.fr/e_record_1927.html

So, it will be a replica of... a replica!

      This time 100% scratch built!
First steps, after lot of drawings:

And yes! No paint, no pain…

      Dan.

    Hello Dan,

So? How large is your collection? Perhaps we could get a "family" photo of all your work?

Although, some of the men here, you for one and Jo, and Roger of course, have models, where a "collection" of ONE, would satisfy the rest of us!

    Hello Dan!

Very Nice! Your builds seem to have "Fun" for you!

Your belt looks like the "linked" type belt, which allows custom lengths and also reduces "flat" spots on a belt that may stand unused for a length of time.

Are you forming aluminum or tinplate?

    Thank you for sharing!

To Don, yes I enjoy and get fun! And it's aluminum sheets...

    First today, steering gearbox:

And on the body now, the real car:

    And mine...

Come back now to the engine. Do you remember, exhausts pipes are ready, lets go!

    It's easier with a jig:

    Strange pipes? Yes indeed...

    Merry Christmas Dan!

Throw some small bits of paper tape on your model and it will indeed fool me into thinking I was seeing the actual car!

    Happy New Year Dan!

Radiators are important, and the front grill does not obscure too much? I have no views from the front. - I did just now notice the double bolting of the transmission bell casing. Gabriel Voisin, I think, really just liked to do things HIS way, defy all conventional thought! Keeps you on your toes!

Thank you for sharing this very interesting build!

Well, today plumbing Avions Voisin Record 1927 1/8 , the real car:
You can see some work is needed on this side!

And on the top, the beginning of the head cover. Note it's a valveless engine, a Knight patent.

I'm always wondering how people can construct or add details on a model which is already painted, without doing scratches...I cannot.
