I'm waiting to a clear sheet for completed the Bugatti...
It's time for a new challenge!
It will be of course another french car, the "Avions Voisin Record 1927".

Unfortunately, the real car has been destroyed. My basis will be a re-builded one,
with many genuine parts except the engine, the 8 cylinders has been replaced by a six cylinders.
      Take a look at:
      http://www.automobiles-voisin.fr/e_record_1927.html

So, it will be a replica of... a replica!

      This time 100% scratch built!
First steps, after lot of drawings:

And yes! No paint, no pain…

      Dan.

Well, today rims, spokes and so one...

First, rims. PVC fitting for plumbers!

Some holes required. Only 624 in total.

Big holes? Yes, you will understand in a future post.

    Small ones too:

    And of course, a jig!

What is this? A spoke trap!

    For fun before nightmare...

Dan, I'm completely blown away by that! I've been attempting to make a shape with bosses but failed miserably. Can you show how you made it?

    Hello Dan,

Very nice. I too would like to know how you made such a complex piece.

I assume that this part captures a constant velocity joint? Similar to those used on the front end of the Type 53 Bugatti?

Thank you for all that you have shown and share.

Thanks gentlemen for your kind words...

Unfortunately, only one pic of the lathe:

After, on the mill... And I forgot the camera! It's not very easy to keep the concentration!
To Don, you are right, it's a constant velocity joint. And yes, it's used on the T53 Bugatti, as
    all AWD cars...
