I'm waiting to a clear sheet for completed the Bugatti...
It's time for a new challenge!
It will be of course another french car, the "Avions Voisin Record 1927".

Unfortunately, the real car has been destroyed. My basis will be a re-builded one,
with many genuine parts except the engine, the 8 cylinders has been replaced by a six cylinders.
      Take a look at:
      http://www.automobiles-voisin.fr/e_record_1927.html

So, it will be a replica of... a replica!

      This time 100% scratch built!
First steps, after lot of drawings:

And yes! No paint, no pain…

      Dan.

    That is very impressive!

I cannot imagine any short cut to your louvres on a curved surface except to make them as you have and just massage each one into shape.

A miniature Beading Machine, I think would be more effort than it’s worth.

Your doing great, you and Jo could write a book on the subject!

Nice, Dan! So, you do keep the louvres the way they are. If I were faced with the same situation as you were (or are), I don't know how I would solve it. To do 28 different tools (or take the long one and shorten it for the next louvre) is a pain in the …!

I’m not experienced w making louvres but hope to do it on a future build. I think Roger might be right about the 28 different blades but I was thinking that since each blade would be used once they could be of a material that was easier to machine unless you do a regular blade and shorten the tool’s width after each cut. Nonetheless this is a fabulous build!

I'm pleased that louvres on the bonnet are different. It's the only way to tell it from the real thing.
    Chapeau!
