This will be my first build post to the forum. I started this build a while ago, so I'll just load all the pics I have up to this point, and then more as I progress with the build. I am building this for a friend, whose grandfather started it, and my friend can't complete it.
I am not intending this to be a 'how to'. It is only my second Pocher model, the first being a Ferrari. I am intending this to just be a build log, and hopefully some of my techniques and ideas will be helpful to someone, and I also hope to receive advice from any pros out there.
The first step was to disassemble what was already done. Nothing was painted, parts were loose, parts were rusted, etc.....
so so here is where I am so far:
I remade the horn ring to look more realistic. It's just soldered brass and copper, and then dipped in liquid tin, and polished. I don't know if I will use it or not. It isn't as shiny as I would like. The kit one is on the right.

The small pulley didn't work very well, so I turned a new one on the lathe. The belt is also from a tape player (or something like that). The stock belt was way too stiff.

Anyway, I will post more later.
I also just realized that I posted questions about this model many years ago. If anyone remembers, or finds that, then obviously I didn't get this done as soon as I had hoped. I had to put this on hold a few times to do some projects for paying clients. At least my friend is very patient and understanding.
Feel free to give any advice or comments.
Thanks for watching,
