It is not my intent to start this "New" project right away,(I have as of yet to put two Model A parts together) but in collecting references I noticed a detail I thought I should share.

I do not know if this is unique or if it is a feature common to all the 8C engine blocks? -The hollow access on the underside of the motor mounts that extend to the chassis rails?

For Jens and Jo and Stompin, I think we need to pool our resources, regarding our MONZA projects.

    Hi again
I never did a Pocher model so cant realy make any comment on them but some impressive builds is seen here. I like all the selfconstructions and further improvements to the kits. Nice work.
I understand the frustration about how is the correct way to build a .. lets say a Monza .. because every picture of a car seems to be a bit different from the last one we Saw. Well... we are quite right. They are different !! I have all the Simon More books plus loads of other portfolio’s etc and the cars are old beeing restored a bit differently from what they looked like from the factory. There are several coachbuilders in play too .
I have just gone through 10 portfolio’s I gathered from the net and Surprise !! I see 10 bids on how a Monza looks like. The easey thing to do to go around this confusion is to build a specific chassis number as a model.
Gerald build a Monza that doesnt Seem to exist and nobody Seem to have any problems with that as it became a beautyfull model.
If you gus doesnt want to build a specific chassis number ... it might have been changed during its lifetime so you can build it as it came from the factory or as it stands today just build a Monza as you like it because there is no answer to the right way to build a Monza as long as you dont compromise the obvious . No Corvette engines and Jaguar differentials please !! ;)
But They are really all a tiny bit different.
I know this might not be what you want to hear but I simply cant explain it better !
    Happy Building.

Hello hello, has anyone seen the New ITALERI 1/12th scale MONZA kit?

I did not know of this until now, and it is to be released in November!

Preview images look good for the body, but the engine has some of the same omissions as does the 50 year old POCHER kit!

Can’t see the underside of the fuel tank

More info to be found on ITALERI website

Intake manifold looks to be correct

    Radiator looks sort of correct

Front end of crankcase is fixable

Engine “Wing mounts” are more of a correct shape than POCHER , but like the POCHER kit, it is missing something?
