Not having contributed for some time I thought it about time I posted some info on my current project I started to build this Pocher Sedanica about 6 months ago and it is progressing quite nicely. On this model I followed a fantasy I have had for some time and that is to motorise the engine of a Pocher kit, A bit of a waste of time as the moving parts cant be seen (only Heard) on the finished item but it was a very interesting project. On my next model I may leave the engine out of the car and display a motorised version?? Again this model has utilised many 3 d printed parts, most in plastic but some in polished brass and silver. Expensive but really look the part ( see side lights and drink cabinet stays)
The chassis of this model has proved a bit of a pig with all the brake linkages etc., but contrary to some articles I have read it is not necessary to build the chassis around the engine as the engine and gear box can be fitted to a completed chassis with a bit of ingenuity,
If you mount the engine supports to the chassis and glue them in place, the engine will slide into position, bolts or threaded studs can then be passed through to the engine supports. Providing you have located the brass support inserts correctly the engine will line up fine.
Many additional parts have been purchased from model motorcars
whom I cant praise highly enough being a wealth of information as well as a fine purveyor of parts. My thanks are also extended to John Haddock who has taken the time and trouble to converse with me over a number of points. The model still has some way to go but the attached photos will show the progress so far.
