I have a question concerning painting. I ve seen on a site a guy doing a superb dark red on is model . he was saying , primer painting pocher alpha monza 2300 gray Tamiya painting pocher alpha monza 2300 , then that he was using TS 49 ( bright red ) and TS 11 ( maroon ) . the result was exactly the dark red that I am looking for. He also mention ratio 1:5 ,considering that TS 49 - TS 11, are spray can . Will it mean after grey primer painting pocher alpha monza 2300 , 1 coat of TS49 AND 4 coats of TS 11 , or if any body can explain . thank you for your help .

please see the link on below of the guy work :

As far as I know the Monza is painted Ox Blood Red. Should be a fairly standard color. Try these colors...

I think the builder is decanting the Tamiya painting pocher alpha monza 2300 spray paint, mixing it and then airbrushing painting pocher alpha monza 2300 it. One way to decant it without making too much mess is to spray into a bendable straw , with the other end in a paint pot. Beware that you can't decant and spray immediately - the paint needs to offgas first, otherwise you'll get a lumpy finish.
I'm using automotive 1K laqueur on my Monza - it's a UK Triumph colour called damask red - colour code BEM8.

I was thinking the same about decanting, on my side , no airbrush painting pocher alpha monza 2300 , and i have those two colors ts 49 / ts 11 . If i do 2 or 3 coats ts49, then 2 coats ts 11 , what kind of result should i expect ?

I've never tried it, but I think getting a consistent colour will be difficult.

finaly I choose the TAMIYA painting pocher alpha monza 2300 spray paint ... and the result is exactly my search .. having a deep bloody red like in the time .painting pocher alpha monza 2300-primer-jpg it was a 2 coats primer painting pocher alpha monza 2300 grey , with sanding painting pocher alpha monza 2300 600/1000 betweenpainting pocher alpha monza 2300-red-bright-ts-49-jpg 2 coats of bright red TS 49 , and always sanding painting pocher alpha monza 2300 in between 1500/2000. and painting pocher alpha monza 2300-ts-11-2-coat-jpgpainting pocher alpha monza 2300-ts-11-jpg, that is the result after the 2nd light coat of TS 11 MAROON. I will sand painting pocher alpha monza 2300 it very lightly with 6000 and more if needed. then one last light coat and last sanding painting pocher alpha monza 2300 should be 8000 and 12000 ( if I have enough patience ) . For information this is the very fisrt time am doing a model . I buy this model , then discover that it was surely a model built in Torino by POCHER itself . as a gift for display. I disasemblied it all alone. It was well done so , not so hard to put it in pieces. The next challenge will be to built it back .I have the manual , yes the one that you finish blind trying to read it ...
