I can't tell you how great it is to be back. After a month looking at my Hot Rod sitting under cover and then a few 80-hour work weeks back-to-back, it'a great to be back in my shop and back on the forum.

Tasty. But why the red block? Ferraris had bare aluminum blocks as a general rule, with black wrinkle-finish valve covers (or red in the case of the TR's)

I'm going with the red block OBH because Enzo's Revenge is a hot rod and there are no rules.

I'm not going for historical authenticity here. I'm rodding up a '29 Ford pickup roadster with a monster Ferrari engine as a bit of a tribute to the Ford's failed attempt to buy Ferrari. But the design, colors... everything is of my own conception. Think Enzo Ferrari meets Chip Foose meets George Barris meets Von Dutch. l:

I'm not asleep - just having to deal with some ugly issues at home. I'll post more pictures at the end of the week.

I've also decided that I'm going to do something that I've never done in 29 years of model building - work on two projects concurrently.

In addition to 'Enzo's Revenge', I'm also going to start work on a 1:5 scale full-custom, Old Skool chopper (100% scratch-build). I'm thinking something around 4-up, 4-out with a pan-head engine machined out of aluminum. A springer front end with chrome wheels are definitely going to be part of the equation. And for colors - I'm going to go with a nice pearl -white with burgandy accents and a leather/suede saddle of matching burgancy.

Anyway - I'll be back up to my old tricks in just a few days.

You got my attention!l: l: l: l: l: l: And By The Way.....I'm living proof that you can work on more than one project at a time....just takes a little longer. On the upside....when you hit a flat spot on one you can switch to the other and you can gang parts that need to be taken care of for more than one project when you have those specials tools out.
