O.K. It's time for the HFC show. Today's topic is how to attach the Lindy blower to the flathead engine.

First, you start with the flathead intake manifold and cut off the top where the carbs will normally be.

Next, take a piece of styrene Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. sheet either .010 or .020 and glue it to the top where you cut so it looks like this.

Now, cut two pieces of .030 styrene Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. sheet to fit under the open part of the Lindy blower to close off the opening. Then cut a piece of .125 styrene Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. sheet such that when you glue the thick piece to the thin pieces you have about 1/8" to 3/16 ths " of the thin parts all the way around. See next drawing.

Contour the thick part so the center looks like the drawing. The drawings show the front and the side views so you can see how the "fuel pan" looks.

Now take the blower whick looks like this

This is what the whole thing should go together like when you get done.

I would recommend that you paint the three main sub assemblies first and then when completely dry, glue with CA. This way, you can paint the metal parts with varying shades of metal paints so you get a more real effect. I dechrome all my parts and then remetalize then either with Alclad Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. , Metallizers from Modelmaster or the SnJ system. Don't forget if you want to use a styrene Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. cement, you need to scrape Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. the paint off the gluing Drawings for attaching a blower to the flathead engine. surface. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be glad to answer them. Hope this helps.

Keep those cards and letters coming, folks. These links ought to be put into the links section. Great finds.
