As promised, I have continued the thread here. So far, you know it's not a Ford , a Vette or a Jag and I'm going to build two cars at a time, twins, both made in the same year. That way when I have to leave one alone, I've got the other. They are GM products and I've only seen these subjects in diecast. I'm in the engine building stage so there'll be picks What models is HFC trying to scratchbuild? soon. Play with this one for a while. I promise I will not let this go indefinitely.

Two doors or Four? Open or closed top?

I now realize I should have been more specific.

Two doors on both, Closed top. For one, it was a very limited style, not like limited editions but I guess this particular one was not as popular as the other styles.

Oh they are very good twins, the best of their kind. Today, I put the basic engine block together for one of them. Today is Monday, and I promise to tell you all by Thursday, but guesses are still good.

Very very close, fuzzy. You got one. Now you need to get the other one and the year they were made. Remember, both cars were made the same year.

So you're gonna spill the beans Thurs. huh? Give the guys a couple more clues to see if they can figure out what you're up to before then......you putting auto trans in both of 'em? Stock engines? Resto rods or hopped up stockers?;) Think about it guys.....you never heard Jeff mention anything about building a Buick, although he is fond of nailheads.

I kept on waffling which one I was going to do. I couldn't decide which one so I'm going to build both at the same time. At least that way, I can satisfy myself. Now, the buck tooth Buick is one of them, but which year and style. The cars will be stock for the bodies but modified in the engine compartment with slightly later engines bumped for more horsepower. To my eye, these were the two most beautiful cars ever made in the USA. Think one of the heavies.

I forgot to add one hint. You know one is a buick already but the other one is mentioned in the song by Chuck Berry "Mabeline".

Bingo for Alster. Now all you have to do is guess which year and style I'm doing. Thursday I'll post the pictures of what the result will be. If I'm lucky, I'll have some pics of the Caddy engine.
