A lot of the cars I see (classics and vintage rods) have ignition and engine wire that's printed. I've never been able to find wire small enough that it looks good in 1:24, 1:16 and 1:8 scale, so I've contracted with a manufacturer to do short runs of high gauge wire that I can use to detail my engines.

I've attached a picture of the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Is anybody else interested in this kind of stuff? It's not cheap for me to do it by myself (I'm doing it anyway), but I figure as long as I'm doing it, maybe there would be some other model builders out there that would want some too.

So far, I have prototypes for:

      - Green on Black
      - Green on Blue
      - Black on Red
      - Black on White
      - Black on Yellow
      - Black on Green
      - Black on Brown

Let me know what you think.

      Andy.

Five feet would be enough to do one engine with some left over. I'm guessing it would end up being about $10 for 5 feet.

Also - tell me what colors you think you'd be interested in. I know I'm going to run the red/black, black/green and white/black. Are there other combinations that you'd be interested in?

HOWDO YOU DOOOO THAT!!! I've been looking for some of that stuff for ages. That really gives a vintage touch especially with the old style clips that go on the end of the plugs.

Yellow and black with a hints of red. Classic plug wire.

By the way what gauge is that 28 or 30 or ????

Ive got about 500 feet of the original cloth red and black wire. I think its 26 gauge, not sure. Little big but still looks cool.:D
