After spending two years on a Rolls-Royce, I decided to take a year off the classics and do something different. One year, turned into two and the result was this pair of Ferrari F1 cars. The 1991 643 took about 15 months (first 5 pictures). the 1982 126 C2 was finished in 10 months (last three pics). For the last three months, I've been building a second 126 C2 engine to display next to the car. That engine will be done this week.

After that - it's on to my next project - Enzo's Revenge. "The Revenge" will be a 1929 Ford Pick-up Roadster (of my own design and scratch-built out of aluminum) powered by a highly modified 1954 Ferrari Arno XI Supercharged engine with a wicked customized exhaust and three Webber 4-barrel carbs mounted up top. This will be my first rod and I can't wait to get started as I've been designing the car and fabricating parts for nearly a year now. Should be tons 'o fun.

Anyway - thought it'd be fun to put something up in the forum.

      Cheers.

Wait until you see what I do with the 126 C2 display. The second display engine along side the car makes it look right perdy.

And just to clear up one point, on each car, the brakes, driver's compartment, suspension, engine and telemetry system required over 90 feet of wire, cable and conduit. There's 20 feet just in the driver's compartment alone.

Thanks Don. It's not an Enzo though, it's going to be a hot A Few Ferraris rod that I've named Enzo's Revenge. The name comes from the combination of a Ferrari engine in a ford body and is in reference to Ford's failed attempt to purchase the Ferrari Company and the incredible ill-will that is created between Enzo and the Ford Motor Company. I liked the concept of a big, supercharged, Ferrari v12 powering an old Ford. I'll be getting started next week.

Absolutely unbelievable!!! Words alone can't describe how well that's been done. Sterling work, Andy. I was looking at that with my son-in law and the two of us had a hard time believeing it wasn't the real thing. Keep up the great work.

Yeah I know....I've been following your stuff for a while. I'll probably still call it the Enzo build, comes with old age. I'm just excited that you decided to build a rod, after seeing some of your other builds it wouldn't surprise me if it had 1/8th scale air in the tires:) .

The Revenge is probably the most exciting project I've ever taken on. I absolutely fell in love with those Hot A Few Ferraris Rods at the Goodguys show last year and I've been planning this build ever since. I'll keep you posted.
