      Hello you engine lovers!

Two days ago I received a small but heavy box from Dan, containing Big Al resin Driving Big Al in shape for casting parts....boy what an impressive sight!!...

Besides a lot of very well bagged parts, I found some black & white prints of some guys assembling the real engine...

Upon opening the contents, I was very impressed by the size, the number of parts and the weight of this baby to be....

Seems I've been honored to start super detailing it for making some super castings out of all these puzzle....I'll start retrieving data of the real engine and with the guidance of Grandpa I will start doing my homework...to be brutally honest, in this very moment I wouldn't know where to start assembling this!!!

This will be a series of postings, so keep tuned and we'll all learn some useful things...

      Mario

I would love to see Photo-etching on this kit but I'm still having a bit of trouble locating a company willing to do short runs at a reasonable price.

If anyone has info on such a company please contact me off-site. Thanks

That's not a bad price. The last time I saw a PE kit, it was selling at $129.00

    Hi Mario,

I'm just starting to follow this. I have a boat that i would love to drop one of these master pieces into. Do you have a time frame when they will be ready?

    Thanks

Syd, Rob....the Allison is evolving into a major project.....it's not going to be inexpensive and we've made a number of improvements to correct details....guys this one's a ways off yet and may only be available as an RP Driving Big Al in shape for casting . Lots of parts and it may only be offered in 1/12th and 1/8th....it's alive and well, just not a priority at the moment.
