Been messing with a 1/18 diecast. Here it is prior to some mild customising and a repaint.
I added the wheels and lowered it. Won't be changing out the 6 cylinder yet, if at all.

Well going through my photobucket site found another one with some bare metal and bare aluminium.
This is a 1/18th diecast I am doing as a copy of the late jim Ewings Superbell Axle company coupe. This model is based on a Hot Bare metal, you got to love it Wheels '34 coupe. The track style nose and hood were all formed in aluminium by myself.
Been a while since I worked on this one. Actually at the moment all that aluminium is polished but eventually it will all be coated in orange paint.

That's fantastic. I've got a few extra die casts waiting for a similar treatment.

Orange is cool....but man, I like the "look" of bare metal polished or raw.

I agree Don, that the polished aluminium panels look good and it has been that way for over 2 years. But it won't be the Superbell coupe until I paint it. Here is an image of the actual car.

Yeah I know. I hate putting paint on some of my wooden boat models 'cause the wood looks so great.

Yeah it is! I plan on doing the same thing on a AMT Bare metal, you got to love it '66 Chevy Nova kit that I have. One of the those kits has the tubbed interior so that I could build it into a pro-streeter.

Wow, that is one fantastic job. At first, I thought it was real. First rate.
