I am always on the lookout for stuff I can use in my model building. Bought a couple of used remote control toys at a charity shop (that is Saint Vincent De Paul, or Salvation Army shop). Only paid $4.00 each for them, but I could see they had possible wheel and tyres components I could use in my big scale stuff.
This first one's wheels and tyres could be used in 1/6th. The tyres would be low profile and the rims would be suitable for modifying for fitment of a better centre.

The second one's wheels and tyres are suitable for 1/8th. I have a tech article planned for these wheels and tyres. Also the seats from this model could be used as well in 1/8th.

Buying these models to get wheels is a much more cost affective way of obtaining big scale wheels, than buying new remote control model wheels from the hobby shop.
