This is pure speculation on my part.
I picked up on Airfix releasing a small quick build kit of the Veyron...Prepainted and aimed at Young Modellers.
This is the only Veyron kit that I know of from any mainstream manufacturer.
Here is where my lateral thinking got into overdrive!
Looks like Airfix have got licences from VW to make kits of this car......With me so far?
Airfix are owned by Hornby.....Still with me?
Also owned by Hornby.........................................POC HER!
Could the Veyron be their next 1/8th scale superkit....................Lets see !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God speculation, but the Veyron is to slow, Koenigsegg new One1 eats Veyron for breakfast.

Even if it IS the 'next' Pocher, I would guess at 4-5 years time.

+1 IMO this just an experiment to see of this is profitable (again)

There may well be highly specialist built cars that are now faster than the Veyron, but who would risk kitting a car in this 1/8th scale that only afficionados may have heard of?
Superb pieces of automotive design and engineering they may be, but they have not got the pedigree of the Bugatti name however that would make it a contender as a super kit.
If under the Hornby mantle licences for kits of the Veyron can be made by Airfix, my guess is that as the Bugatti Veyron is one of the more generally best known super cars on the planet, and that particular car would be a really viable as a 1/8th scale model kit marketed under the Pocher banner.

Roy.There is a tentative 2 year cycle for new kits.

There is a tentative 2 year cycle for new kits.

I would be VERY surprised if this applies to Pocher.
Even after the Aventador was first announced, and the prototype kit video was launched, it was two years before anyone had one.
The kit had probably been 'in the works' for the best part of two years prior to the announcement making four years.
Also, these kits are MEGA money.
Pocher/Hornby are going to make all effort to recoup their investment before thinking about launching another 'different' car.

My guess, as with the Coupe Aventador, the next 'new' kit will be more colour variations of the roadster, and then possibly a stand-alone engine.

Like everyone else, I'd like to see a new kit too but I guess we will have a long wait before adding one to our stash.

All good points, but the development on a new kit most likely overlaps the production process for the "current" kit...and I have a reliable source. gringrin

I too have a reliable source - and a Veyron ISN'T the one on the blocks....

Wish this was true!
