Always get a head start on Sunday here in Australia.
So what did I get done last week. Had a bit of time off this last week, with it being a bit slow at work. So I was looking at my projects bench and saw an '56 F100 I had started a while back laying there in pieces and thought that would be the perfect tow/push vehicle for my FED roadster. Of course every good tow vehicle should have a hemi!
I won't go into a long winded description of what I have done to it thus far. There are still a few things to do to it. I also have in the planning stages a trailer to go behind it to load the race car onto.
I did a few things to the FED roadster as well this week. The most noticeable being the exhaust. Again still a lot more to do to this build.
As I said in my post last Sunday these are 1/18th diecast/plastic models pieced together from various models.

Continuing my Mustang corral, I started an Accurate Miniatures 1/48 P-51. She's almost ready for paint.

I won't be spending as much time modeling any more. I GOT A JOB.......I GOT A JOB......I'll be working for Bestop which is a division of the same company that laid me off last June....

    Cheers

Congrats on the job, Rob. That's always good news.

Nice job on that cockpit. The seat is gorgeous. I didn't realize that the A model used the wing top as the floor. The weathering is beautiful.

I would have had some pictures of the P 47 for this model Sunday but I'm still fiddling with the wings. The flaps can be positioned either fully extended or at 0 degrees. The instructions for their assembly was wrong and the section of the flap extenders were too big to fit into the wing!!
It took a while to recontour the extenders so the flaps would sit correctly without excessive amount of space under the wing. I also had to cut the flaps down since they were too thick at the trailing edge. Now, I'll have to foil the flaps before I hook them into the wings. I can do it with BMF but I still haven't got the kitchen foil technique where I want it.

Hi all, The Honda got posed in the sun for the first time today, and in person the DupliColor Honda scarlet really glows. A few more bits and some paint touch up will finish the bike, and I've made a rack to hang the fairing next to it. Tamiya has outdone themselves here (as I've read about some of their other recent kits) and this kit shoud stimulate a few modelers to do the same.

Thank you, Mario. It is 1/12 scale, the Tamiya kit that came out early this year. I added the four detail up kits, chain, wheels, forks & clutch, and rivets. The detail parts look almost as good as the parts you make, and really give some eye grabbing snap to the details that make it a miniature motorcycle. If anyone from Tamiya is reading this, please scale this kit up to 1/6 and pile on the detail up kits.
