Here's a model I have been working on for a couple of weeks now. I basically made from plastic and diecast 1/18th resin Model Sunday 5-9-10 left overs from other projects.
Still a ways to go on this one, but I am really like how it is turning out.
Thinking about it, this could be done in 1/8th using the Lindeberg dragster kit and the Big Duece!

Sweet ride Whodaky. She deserves Model of the Month.

My P-51D is complete. Finished with kitchen foil except for the wings which are painted silver just like the origonals.

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers

Way cool design Geoff. I've only seen that with the jawbreakers.

I've been working to develop my foiling techniques. The picture below shows three samples. The one all the way to the right was done with heavy duty foil. The one in the middle was done with the cheapest, thinnest foil I could find. The sample all the way to the left is actual aluminum sheet cut off an aluminum can and sanded to remove the coating. It only shows how realistic the foil is if it's done carefully.
