We're putting on another event, and its gonna be real simple. The "SMC Unfinished Nationals" will work like this:

**Show dates are March 6th-8th. Please do not post your entry until the morning of the 6th.
**Participants must be members of Scalemotorcars.com.
**Any unfinished car, truck, motorcycle, pedal car, bicycle, boat, plane, diorama, engine etc may participate.
**It dosen't matter if your model is still on the drawing board, if its a bunch of parts on the bench or if its mocked up. Any unfinished project is welcome.
**Because our members work in so many scales, there will be no size limitations.
**A maximum of six photo's per entry plus description please.
**There's no limit on the number of entry's per member.
**This is not a competition, there will be no prizes.

We have over 800 members but less than 1/6th of you actually participate in this forum. This is your opportunity to get involved and show us what you do. You may consider your model or build style to be insignificant, but its not. Everyone who posts here is a winner and other members can learn from what you do. To those of you who have already posted your unfinished works, don't be shy. Give us an update along with some fresh photos. If you're creating something unique or have a short tutorial to go along with something you're working on, feel free to include it with your entry.

Dan has put a lot of work into makeing our site user friendly and informative so lets show him how much we appreciate his efforts by getting involved.

Dan, if possible, please put a poster or reminder on the side bar.

Just started on Tuesday. Spent 2 days trying to figure out the tail wheel assembly and finally made a drawing. Pictures below are the result of the scratch built SMC Unfinished Nationals tail wheel less electric motor and jack screw. Thanks to xken for teaching me the art of soldering.

I've got to take a few more pics and then I'll put them on probably tomorrow when I get the chance.

These are the first modelpic`s I`m posting since I´m member at this site. Please don`t laugh.
It`s a HD Electra-Glide in 1/10. I build it for completing my Franklin Mint collection.
It`s a very cheap kit from Korea, so I have to scratchbuild some parts, they don`t exist in the kit.: upper motormount ( Cylinders and Frame) sparkplugs, oil-lines (crankcase - valvecover/ vc-vc) they are stainless tube from injection needles, the clutcharm on the tranny, all the small parts on the carb. all these parts are scale 1/10. I took the mesurements fron my org. HD at home.
Please be patience, it will be better.

My submission is this mockup of a phantom Willys woody. Starting with an MF fibreglass body. the nose was removed from the windshield forward. Modifications so far include re- radiusing SMC Unfinished Nationals the front fender crowns and laying back the headlights.

I'm going to section the cowl, chop and lay back the windshield, pancake the hood and take a pie cut SMC Unfinished Nationals out of the hood sides. This will result in some minor changes to the body mockup but the general shape will remain. The stock wheelbase will be shortened slightly and the stock rear fenders will be used.

Here's the fun part. I'm also building an Amati Aquamarina runabout and there's going to be enough wood left over to do the woodwork on this woody.

Revel 1:6 Dodge 426 street Hemi

I really like the fact that this is a $35.00 kit that you can really bring to life.
The alternator, headers, power steering pump, and carbs and linkage beg to be loved on.
I soaked most of the kit in brake fluid to strip the pre-painted block and components.
I am now in the process of building an engine stand of brass to better show this beast.

The only difference in the Hemi-Cuda engine and the Dodge street Hemi is the air cleaner and the mounting base.

    Enjoy!
