Sorry it took so long to jump in. Been really busy and a couple of medical problems.







This is a 1967 Monogram 1/32 scale F-51 Mustang with operating landing gear, dropping bombs, movable canopy, and spinning propeller. She's completely covered with bare metal foil with home made decals since the originals were completely scrap. The jack stands are scratch built out of styrene tubing. Base is made of Oak and the tarmac is made of gray foam board.

I'm asking Dan to leave the event open until Sunday evening so if anyone else wants to enter you've got three more days. After Sunday, we'll keep the thread alive but the event will be over.

Once again I'd like to thank all who entered. In particular I'd like to thank our friends and the new members who have joined us. Those of you who have entered small scale models deserve special recognition, your work is incredible and the detail is inspiring. Thanks for participating! Hopefully some of you will consider expanding your skills to the larger scales.

There's been some talk, on and off site, about whether or not we're going to open the site to include small scale. We have discussed this issue and unfortunatly its not something we'll be considering at this time. We have always been a large scale site and we we feel we need to continue improving the site to suit the large scale crowd. We are planning future events next year and there will be room for small scale in at least one of them.
