    ~~Official Thread~~ Show and Shine November 28th ~ December 5th 2008

    Thanks for everybodys encouragement.

OK fellow members and friends, here's how this event will work.

** Gates open on Friday November 28th and will remain open for one week. You can enter
    any time during the week
** After the event, this thread will remain open to include both events.
** Cars/Trucks/Bikes, Boats, Planes and Diorama's of any scale are welcome to participate.
** Submissions may be finished or unfinished and may include engines, chassis etc.
** Please limit your entry to six photos and description. Check site requirements for photo
    size.
** Participants of the previous event are welcome to attend.
** Site members, friends, members of other sites and Clubs are invited to participate.
** There are no rules and no prizes.
** Please, when inviting non members and Clubs, please remind them that this is not a
solicitation for membership to the Scale Motor Cars site.

NOTE: any non members unfamiliar with submitting photos to this site can forward their photos and bio to me at <rick21142@shaw.ca> and I'll submit them for you.

Members, please spread the word to the model building fraternaty in your area and to your friends. I'd really like to see some Club participation (you KC Slammers guys listening?) along with participation from some of the other car, plane and boat forums. I've submitted a post to the Model Cars Magazine Forum, please advise your own forms accordingly.

Lets make this event even bigger than the previous one.

Thanks Dan, thats a great poster. Those of you who are familiar with the previous Show & Shine will remember the awsome (unfinished) sprint car submitted by Randy Derr. Randy has submitted two of his finished models for the upcomming event and you're going to be impressed. All I'll say is that one is in 1/12th and the other is 1/24th and they're both beautifully done.

As mentioned previously, lets see if we can get some club participation.

Even if that T motor is not finished, you can put it in the show DW. Also, if you have any interesting railroad stuff, feel free to enter it too.

This morning I recieved a fascinating entry from Joaco Ruiz who lives in Chile. I know we have other members and visitors who live in many parts of the world, so if you are listening, we really encourage your participation.

Tell more of your friends Mario, there's obviously some very talented modellers down there. Are there any clubs that might want to participate?

Pardon the dumb question, but where is this show going to be held?

The poster doesn't seem to mention that little detail. Or else I just don't see it.

I'm sure everyone else knows the location, but unfortunately I don't.

    Thanks.

Its right here on-line. No packing it up and taking the chance of trashing all that hard work. Just post your 6 pictures for everyone to see and enjoy.

Thanks for bringing that up N2N.

To clarify for everyone's information, this is an ON LINE "Show & Shine" where participants post photos of their models on this site.

I've just rec'd another E along with fresh photos from Randy Derr. You'll remember that Randy showed his incredible unfinished sprint car in our previous event. Well, he's made some progress on the build and what he's done is amazing.

Without giveing away any secrets, does anyone else have some interesting news for the event? How about our Pocher, Plane, Bike and Boat crowd?

Remember, an event like this is only as good as its participants.

Some of you may know of Ira Dahm's models. He's just sent me an incredible entry that was built in three days. I've asked him to submit more of his work.

How about it members and friends, anybody else want to drop some hints without giveing away the farm?
