Here it is Guys, This is my 1/25 scale Duece Coupe Nostalgia Drag Car. Pretty much built from my memory as a young lad hanging out at the K.C.T.A. Drag Strip in the Northeast Bottoms of Kansas City, Missouri. (Youth Wasn't it GREAT). As a member of the K.C. Slammers we hosted the Model Car Show for Darryl Starbird in Wichita, Kansas January 2008.
This model was featured in the Aug/Sept 2008 issue of Model Cars Magazine, on page 40. If you have a chance take a glance.

Here are two 1/24 scale cars I have been working on. 1st is a 35 Chevy modified # 3k of Mousy Kempster. I modified a 40 Ford frame, scracthbuilt the interior and replaced the kit body sides with sheet plastic. The 2nd is a 78 Camaro modeled after the car Richie Evans raced at Daytona. I filled in the t-tops, used 32 Ford rear fenders for the raised front wheel wells, added a L88 hood scoop and modified the frame to achieve the ride height.
Hi all, I just couldn't sit this one out. While it may not be shiny, the case could be made for it's being showy. Here is the Bugatti welding truck. One never knows what course a vehicle may steer once the new is off of it and it has passed through a few hands. Some agricultural or industrial use may be in store. So it went for this Heller T50 Bugatti, which ended up in the wilds of eastern Oregon. Save for some rumpling and weathering, the first 3/4 of the rig is basically stock. The two spare tires in the kit inspired the duals, covered by my own stretch formed fenders. The welder generator is kitbashed from a Heller Alfa Romeo engine, an MPC
Grumman Hellcat cowl, and assorted bits from the spares stash. The gas welding equipment is entirely scratch built
save for the wheels, which came from the same Hellcat. The figure is a Nitto SF3D Krote mechanic. I built this a while back, but cleaned it up a bit (joke) for this photo op.
Scorpio - Builds models the way the prototype should have been built.
Brian Dees submits his 32 Ford Hiboy that was built to resemble a Wescott body and frame. The body is painted with twelve coats of hand rubbed laquer and clear. All suspension pieces use scale nuts and bolts and the rear coilovers work. Brian used scratchbuilt and photoetchedparts on the engine and scratchbuilt a Mallory distributor. The model also has scratchbuilt valve stems, real carpet and many custom interior parts.
Since being built several years ago this model has won several awards including Best of Show.
Brian tells me that he's working on an 8th scale Deuce and if its anything like this one, I can't wait to see it.

Sorry it took so long to jump in. Been really busy and a couple of medical problems.
This is a 1967 Monogram 1/32 scale F-51 Mustang with operating landing gear, dropping bombs, movable canopy, and spinning propeller. She's completely covered with bare metal foilwith home made decals since the originals were completely scrap. The jack stands are scratch built
out of styrene
tubing. Base is made of Oak and the tarmac is made of gray foam board.
Cheers

I'm asking Dan to leave the event open until Sunday evening so if anyone else wants to enter you've got three more days. After Sunday, we'll keep the thread alive but the event will be over.
Once again I'd like to thank all who entered. In particular I'd like to thank our friends and the new members who have joined us. Those of you who have entered small scale models deserve special recognition, your work is incredible and the detail is inspiring. Thanks for participating! Hopefully some of you will consider expanding your skills to the larger scales.
There's been some talk, on and off site, about whether or not we're going to open the site to include small scale. We have discussed this issue and unfortunatly its not something we'll be considering at this time. We have always been a large scale site and we we feel we need to continue improving the site to suit the large scale crowd. We are planning future events next year and there will be room for small scale in at least one of them.
Thanks everybody.
