Hey gang, we only have a day and a half left until the engine contest starts. Make sure you all get your entries registered. There are three classes, box stock , modified and fully scratchbuilt. One of the prizes will be a fully detailed flathead or Poncho with a number of options of your choice built by yours truly. Stay tuned for the gate opening.

Jeff....we need to register donsrods1 in the contest.....if you would. I have some of his pics if you don't, let me know...between the two of us I'm sure we can get his pictures up and entered. Before I forget.....how long do the guys have to enter? TTYL

Everyone can enter right up to the judging which will be about 1PM on Sunday. The results will be posted when I'm done going over everything with a fine tooth comb. I'll do the judging myself because I don't know anyone who can do it that's not in the contest. If you have someone in mind, let me know. I'll go ahead and get Don registered. If I have any trouble, I'll holler. Also, I sent an email to Dan to find out where we're going to post the pics.

Here's some more info concerning the contest. Continue building and getting your engines ready for the show on 16 and 17 Aug. Try to make your photography as clear as you can without a lot of clutter in the background. I won't take off points for cluttered photography but if you did something special with your engine and I can't see it, I can't judge it. There's not much I can do about that. Remember, there is a limit of 8 photos for each engine entered so make each one count. On opening day, Dan will open up a new thread and will sticky it so everyone can see it and get their pictures into it. You can enter as many engines as you want and you'll have until Sunday, 17 Aug to get your entries in. That's when I'll start the judging and that will take some time. I want to make sure I give each entry a thorough going over before I make any final decisions. Good luck to all and I'll see you all on race day.
