Glenmoor Best of Show Trophy

As has been reported on this site, a sponsor has stepped forward with a generous contribution to support the Glenmoor Gathering Scale Model Concours and the Best of Show trophy. The donor has requested that the Best of Show trophy be awarded in memory of a dear friend Sonie Meit.

Sonie was a personal friend of mine, a friend to the Pocher model-building family and the wife of Marvin Meit, Founder and President of Model Motorcars .

Recently Sonie lost her battle with cancer. It is the donor's wish that Sonie's memory be honored annually at The Glenmoor with the presentation of the Best of Show Trophy. This year I am particularly excited to announce that Marvin Meit is flying up from Florida to personally award the trophy to the winner at the awards ceremony at the end of the Concours.

Please take a minute to read the piece below and then offer a prayer in memory of loved ones lost and in honor of those who still bless us with their love today.
