Here is the engine from my 79 TA. Again, cannot hold a candle to some of y'alls builds but what the hey. Please ignore any rims or tires you may see.

I am tempted to start a Revell First Annual SMC Engine Building Show /Monogram 1/6 Corvette Fuel Injected engine.

That's a very well done, clean engine. Nice job. Welcome to the site.

A little progress. Now I finished the sump with simulated "oil" and worked on the gearbox

The gearbox is assembled and painted and is waiting for the pedals end the handbrake.

Here the engine is on its stand and now you can see the result of the opened sump.

Maybe I will put a mirror on the base

"Simulated oil" Now that solution is way cool. Great idea.

A small update this time: the gear box/bell house is ready for 99%. The rest will be done at the final assembly. The work on the gear box was mainly putting bolts and nuts everywhere and the work on the pedals. This pedal was delivered by Pocher:

It does not look very realistic so I started with brass and copper to manufacture some realistic ones

Now they resemble more like the real ones.

Some images of the gear box attached to the engine

Next step will probably the electrics or the compressor.

    regards

Due to a short break holiday I was not able to do much, but electricity and some other detailing is done now

After this abundance of "left-right-over and under" pictures :-) the last one is a picture of the show case I ordered

    regards

Oh my goodness, I forgot all about this engine building show. I remember when Rick started this thread I thought "Oh no, I don't have an engine to build".
I just found this thread again while having my morning coffee and thought "Hey, now I do have an engine, and it's already built".

I'm going to put my 1/8th Clerget rotary in here just to add a different flavor to the show. It'll be the odd one out amongst all the car engines and the Honda 750, but variety is good.
You've probably all had a look at the Clerget already. I started it in the 'plane' section, but now you will find it in 'dioramas'. I'll put a few pics in here as well.
All you guys have done great work on your engines and I'm privileged to be able to participate along side everyone in the show.

    Regards,
    Dave.
