Don't forget to show what you've been doing today. I'll be taking some pics later of some of the buiilding I've been doing including the new B10 jacket I just finished. Rob is out of town over the weekend so I'll host for this week. Catch you later.

I'm working on two models right now.

On the Alfa I'm rebuilding the front cowl, so I cut/removed the cowl on the body.

And also I start yesterday to build a model in 1/24, it is a Revell Model Sunday 18 July 2010 VW Bug Convetible. I got this kit from a friend, and it was already painted.
I'm thinking to convert it from convertible to steel top, and I don't want spend on it more than a week.

Great participation this week. Thanks for starting hot Model Sunday 18 July 2010 Ford Coupe.

I got the nose section assembled, cleaned up a little bit, and primed this week.

    Cheers

Better late than never. Here's what I took a break from modeling to complete. For those not familiar with WWII gear, this is a repro B10 jacket which was designed to take the place of the old B3 sheepskin jacket. I bought it for this winter in a size that was smaller than I could wear now since I'm finally losing some of my baby fat. It's my reward that my wife gave me for losing weight. I'll be able to fit it just fine this winter. The jacket is a tribute to a good friend of mine who passed on in '97. He was the ball turret gunner on the aircraft's first crew. Silver Dollar was a B 17 assigned to the 100th Bomb Group, 8th AF. the left front has the blue "in theater" patch with an original set of flight surgeon's wings. The DDS over the wings is so I don't get caught up in the Stolen Valor Act of 2007. consider this a 1:1 Model Sunday 18 July 2010 model jacket. That one picture is the jacket getting a CAT scan.

Now that's the right way to weather up a model. Zoom zoom zoom splat.
